Day 1
Friday February 23
Group flight on Air France to Amman

Day 2
Saturday February 24
Land at Amman Airport. Transfer to hotel. Dinner at hotel. Overnight: Amman

Day 3
Sunday February 25
After breakfast, go on bus tour of Amman. Drive to Mt Nebo, where according to tradition Moses looked out into the Promised Land before he died. Continue to the church in Madaba to see the beautiful Byzantine-period mosaic map of the Middle East. After lunch, visit the magnificent Crusader Castle at Kerak. End the day, driving to Petra. Check into the Marriott hotel and have dinner. Overnight: Petra (B L D)

Day 4
Monday February 26
After early breakfast, tour Petra, the capital of the ancient Nabatean kingdom, carved out of the pink sandstone cliffs. After lunch in Petra, drive south via Wadi Rum, the desert valley famous for its natural beauty and history. Cross the border into Israel and fly up to Tel Aviv. Transfer to hotel. Overnight at hotel Royal Beach Tel Aviv (B L)

Day 5
Tuesday February 27
After breakfast, visit Jaffa, one of the oldest cities in the world, associated with the Scriptural stories of Jonah, Solomon and Peter. Continue on a city tour and drive north to north to Caesarea National Park, with archaeological remains from over 2,000 years, one of the most visited sites in Israel. Continue to Haifa for spectacular panoramic view from above the Bahai Gardens of Haifa Bay and the northern coastline. Then to Nazareth where Jesus spent his childhood and Youth. Drive to Tiberias. After checking in, enjoy dinner at the hotel. Overnight at hotel Leonardo Plaza Tiberias (B D)

Day 6
Wednesday February 28
After breakfast, visit the Magdala Project, site of excavations of 1st Century Jewish fishing village where synagogue from the time of Jesus has been discovered. Drive to Mt of Beatitudes, traditional site of the Sermon on the Mount and then on to Capernaum, the base of Jesus’ ministry in the north. Drive north to the Banias, whose powerful water serves as one of the sources of the Jordan River and is the site of Caesarea Philippi. Continue into the Golan Heights to Mt Bental, overlooking the site of a major tank battle in the 1973 Yom Kippur War and also learn about current events in the region. Drive to Rosh Pina for dinner and overnight at hotel Isrotel Mitzpe Hayamim (B D)

Day 7
Thursday March 1
After early breakfast, check out. Drive south to Beit She’an National Park, site of one of the most important cities in antiquity, with archaeological remains going back 3,000 years. Continue via the Jordan Valley past Jericho to Qasr el Yahud, traditional site where Jesus was baptized by John. Drive up to Jerusalem for panoramic view of Old & New Jerusalem from Mount Scopus. Continue to City of David, including opportunity to go on water walk in Hezekiah’s Tunnel, carved out of the rock 2700 years ago; stop at the Pool of Siloam. Continue to Jerusalem. Check in at hotel Orient Jerusalem for overnight (B D)

Day 8
Friday March 2
After breakfast, visit Yad Vashem Holocaust Museum and Memorial. Lunch on own in Machane Yehuda, Jerusalem’s colorful, open-air market. Drive to Old City and enter via Lions Gate. Walk on the Via Dolorosa to the Church of the Holy Sepulcher. Continue to the Room of the Last Supper on Mt Zion. Walk down to Kotel (Western Wall) as Jews welcome the Sabbath. Return to hotel for dinner. Overnight at Orient hotel in Jerusalem (B D)

Day 9
Saturday March 3
After breakfast, check out of hotel and drive down to the Dead Sea. Visit Qumran, where Dead Sea Scrolls were discovered. Continue to Masada, ascending by cable car. Tour Herod’s fortress and site of the Zealots’ last stand against the Romans in 73 A.D.; descend via cable car. Lunch on own at Masada. Float/swim in Dead Sea, the lowest place on earth. Return to Jerusalem for a farewell group dinner and then transfer to Ben Gurion Airport. 1130 pm departure on Delta airways via JFK (B D)

Day 10
Sunday March 4
Morning arrival in Toronto
